Airways cancelled greater than 300 flights Sunday as disruptions from the omicron variant of Covid-19 continued to influence crews and staffing.
Since Friday, airways scrubbed greater than 1,500 U.S. flights, disrupting journey through the busy vacation weekend. United Airways, Delta Air Traces, American Airways and JetBlue Airways cited the unfold of omicron as a motive for the cancellations.
Delta cancelled 5% of its schedule, or 131 flights on Sunday, whereas United had cancelled 95 flights, or 4% of its mainline schedule, in response to flight-tracking website FlightAware. Ten p.c of JetBlue’s schedule, or 131 flights had been cancelled Sunday.
